Project Engineer Role Overview:

Minimise plant and site reactive maintenance jobs by assisting with the co-ordination and hands-on support of planned maintenance activities in accordance with production and site requirements.
Maintain and improve the plant and equipment in accordance with EPC-UK company standards relating to safety and operability ensuring down time is minimised whenever possible.
Contribute towards plant improvement and reliability by practising continuous improvement techniques such as 5S and support the development of Reliability Centred Maintenance.

Project Engineer Key Requirements

An Engineering Degree and ultimately Chartered status with the Engineering Council
Supervisory Management and Safety trained, IOSH or NEBOSH or equivalent
Industrial Project Engineering Management and competency with proven experience in this area
Experience required: At least 5 years industrial processing plant experience, responsible for carrying out Chemical/Explosive plant design and maintenance activities
Fundamental knowledge of DCS, PLC systems and Functional Safety experience essential.
AutoCAD proficiency will be an added bonus

Project Engineer Key Accountabilities:

Scope, design, plan, cost and deliver projects for Bramble Island on time and within budget
Act as a Functional Safety Lead across COMAH site operations

Ensure that the existing plant is kept in a safe and operable condition by scoping, designing and delivering systems in a planned and organised way.
Analyse plant performance data and report on where improvements can be made
Work within all the site rules and procedures.
Communicate clearly and effectively to team members and other staff.
Allocate work to contractors as required to aim for maximum efficiency within the department.
Investigate and solve problems as they occur, within the remit of your skills, training and authorisation.
