Job Title: Events Coordinator
Location: Leicester, Leicestershire
Hours: 5 out of 7 days
Salary: GBP18,000 - GBP20,000 + tips + working pension
Description
We are looking for an Experienced Events Organizer with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for coordinating activities, events and functions within the business.
The Role
Day to day running of all activities within the clubhouse.
Dealing with customer orders and inquiries.
Organize events and functions in line with the client's requirements.
Ordering products and outside service providers of goods required to fulfill the needs of any event.
Control of food and beverages with the Head Chef & Bar Manager.
Marketing the event facilities.
To input new ideas for service and products
To build positive relationships with clients/guests to ensure customer satisfaction
To handle cash and keys responsibly and according to company policy
To ensure the department complies with all statutory and legal requirements, including fire, Health and Safety, licensing and employment
To undertake any other duties as and when required by Senior Management
Control of front of house staff in line with company policies.
To share ideas and problems with the team and encourage their input in helping make decisions where possible.
To motivate and be proactive in encouraging team commitment and spirit
Implementing and/or following of procedures concerning recording of stock movements e.g. correct charging of items.
To lead team by example.
To coach individual team members to develop their skills and maximize performance
To give clear direction and guidelines to team members
To oversee all functions & events.
Able to work on own initiative and organisation.
To supervise the department and team in a fair, consistent and responsible way.
Requirements and Experience
Previous experience in a similar role, of organizing and setting up for events including Weddings & conferences.
Access to a car due to location
IT literate
Excellent organization and leadership skills
Experience of delivering excellent customer service
Good communication skills
Ability to work within team and supervise a team
Ability to work under pressure
Good time management and ability to prioritize effectively
Able to delegate effectively
Flexible/adaptable and calm under pressure
Open and receptive to new information,
Lots of common sense, outgoing personality, able to build rapport with others quickly
Knowledge of licensing laws advantageous
