An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a temporary Communications and Marketing Officer to oversee the communications and marketing strategies and activities of the department. The purpose of this role is to support the marketing and communications functions of the department. As the organisation's Communications and Marketing Officer, you will lead on various tasks concerning marketing and communications for the department, including online communications, events coordination, publications and brand identity. You will contribute to the promotion of taught programmes, updating and maintaining the website and designing and producing marketing literature. As the Communications and Marketing Officer, you will manage all social media platforms for the department and support the production and dissemination of e-newsletters. You will play a vital role in the coordination of virtual open days, workshops, conferences and various other events. The post holder will also work collaboratively with the wider department, contributing to the faculty-wide working groups and committees as and when required. To be considered for this post, you will be a proven professional with previous Marketing and Communications experience together with great working knowledge of content management systems. You will have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to tailor content to different formats and audiences. You will also have a thorough understanding of communications within a digital space including online and social media. Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and comprehend complex situations accordingly are essential to this post.
