For the past 16 years, Safe and Sound has been working hard to end child sexual abuse and exploitation. This is a pivotal time for the Charity; in 2018 Safe and Sound launched its three year strategy which aims to make Safe and Sound the leading regional charity supporting children, young people and families affected by child sexual abuse and exploitation. Central to the strategy is to expand our income sources to ensure stability and sustainability.  

We are now looking for an outstanding, creative Fundraising Manager to help us implement our strategy and develop our ambition to build an exciting, high performing, vibrant Charity making a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families affected by child sexual abuse and exploitation. 

This role is centred on establishing and embedding a fundraising function and culture within Safe and Sound and is pivotal to expanding and developing a broad range of income generation activities and opportunities for the charity.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be part of the senior management team, leading, creating, developing, implementing and delivering Safe and Sound’s fundraising activity and potential.

This challenging new role requires a positive, proactive and resilient self-starter with the ability to drive innovation, change and growth. Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience in charity fundraising, you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of developing and delivering effective fundraising strategies, building long-term, productive relationships with supporters and donors.

You’ll have experience of identify fundraising opportunities and generating income from diverse revenue streams, including corporates, major donors, individuals, and events. A fundraising qualification or membership of the Institute of Fundraising would be advantageous.

With a full UK driving licence and access to your own transport, you will have the ability to travel and participate in evening and weekend work as and when required.
