We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and industrious individual to join the existing ICT Services team within St George’s Academy.
Reporting to the ICT Services Director, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to staff and students, answering questions and resolving ICT problems in person, via telephone, email or remote access.
Whilst this position would primarily be based at our Ruskington Campus, our ICT Support Technicians work across both campuses, managing over 1800 devices and 80 virtual servers.
Key elements of the role will include call logging; problem solving; installation, configuration, repairing and upgrading ICT equipment (hardware and software); periodic printer maintenance; basic network implementation; setting up ICT bookings; auditing; updating support manuals and creating user guides.
You will be required to have knowledge of hardware and software maintenance, although in-house training will also be available.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience of repairing, upgrading and maintaining a computer and of supporting a localised network. An NVQ or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline would also be an advantage but not essential.
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates accountability, exceptional communication skills, ownership of work duties and who carries them out with accuracy.
If you think you have the skills and experience required of this role, then we would be delighted to hear from you!
