An opportunity has arisen within our client's Estates and Facilities section for a Facilities Management Officer, based at their HQ in Sheffield.

Salary: Grade 7 £28,221 – £30,756
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday (Flexi time)
Location: Headquarters, Sheffield
The overall purpose of the role will be to efficiently and pro-actively manage the delivery of facilities and building management services across all or the organisation's premises.
Reporting to the Head of Joint Facilities Management, the role of the Facilities Management Officer is to work in conjunction with the Facilities Management Assistant, Surveyors and Mobile Operative Drivers (MODs).
To be considered for this role you will have significant experience of working in Facilities Management or Operations Management and experience of effective problem solving in a property/facilities and customer service focused environment
You must possess level 5 qualification ideally in a property related subject, and either IOSH / NEBOSH qualification.
The key duties will include:-
Act as the main point of contact in relation to any facilities and property specific questions or issues, providing direction and advice to Senior Officers and Managers ensuring satisfactory resolutions are reached and operational efficiency is maximised.
Effectively manage the compliance management process for the estate and update Technology Forge accordingly. Ensure as far as is reasonably practicable full compliance with all current and impending Health and Safety Legislation with support and advice from Health and Safety colleagues.
Develop and promote excellent working relationships with all operational staff and officers ensuring proactive feedback is provided regarding all outstanding works and that programmes of work are effectively delivered. To negotiate efficiently changes to contracts and to manage conflicts which may arise through the management of those contracts.
Oversee and manage the performance and conduct of third party contractors, ensuring optimum service delivery and meet regularly to review and discuss performance. Manage associated customer service levels with operational staff, making sure that contractors are delivering to a high standard and as per eth contract.
Oversee and manage all work orders (planned and reactive) to ensure delivery on time using the Technology Forge Asset Management system. Proactively lead the team in the delivery of an excellent facilities management service to the organisation, providing update reports when required.
Manage day-to-day liaison with our customers, leading by example in promoting exceptional client/customer relations. Display collaborative thinking, identifying opportunities to undertake partnership working with existing and potential partners.
Draw up specifications and obtain competitive quotations for the implementation of one off and ongoing repairs and maintenance, to ensure properties function to full capacity in all aspects.
