Junior User Experience / Interface Designer

Reporting to the Lead User Experience (UX) Designer, the Junior UX/UI Designer will be part of the UX Team responsible for optimising the end to end user experience for our visitors across multiple platforms. As part of your 12 month programme you will learn and develop your skills to support the Design Team in identifying, analysing and creating market leading experiences for both Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.

In this new and exciting opportunity you will work within our busy Digital Marketing Team, learn how to collaborate effectively with the business and technical teams to achieve our business goals. You'll develop skills that enable you to balance business requirements with what is right for our end users and effectively deliver measured improvements to our sites.

With an increasing number of mobile visitors, you'll be keen to learn how to optimise this experience, offering a connected journey with tablet and desktop, making users want to return to our sites. You'll be required to support UX Designers and Front End Developers on large scale projects and, from concept to launch, deliver experiences our users want, can easily use, and remember using. You'll collaborate with other designers by spotting areas for improvement from detailed analytics and insight gained from user testing. It will be important to speak up for a user centred approach to everything we do across the business.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent, have a strong interest in UX Design and already have a solid understanding of the core UX principles. You will be an excellent communicator, ready to put your knowledge into practice and be proactive in your approach to develop your own UX skills with a fast paced commercial environment, supported by our highly skilled and experienced UX Team.
