OX Seven overview of the Development Lab Technician role:
You will be joining an extremely well-established and respected company who are leading suppliers of food products on an international stage. Their rich and proud history spans 175 years and they continue to experience steady annual growth whilst ensuring their core values and ethos are exuded throughout every process and the global supply chain.
The company is currently going through a transitional period in their working culture with a focus on building sustainable long-term business partnerships. They need a Development Lab Technician to come on board, assist the team and create some delicious products.
Your day-to-day as a Development Lab Technician:
* Learn to make products from raw ingredients from the creation, baking, testing and finalising the product
* Stock rotation
* Preparing and sending samples to potential and existing customers
* Hosting customer visits and helping prepare innovation days alongside the team
This is a rare opportunity which has come around due to maternity cover, but there is potential that the position may evolve into something permanent.
You will be taught how to create delicious products, showcase your creativity for showpieces and displays for charity events and be involved in the whole process of learning the science behind their procedures.
The ideal Development Lab Technician will be:
* Passionate about food
* Computer literacy
* Able to work on own initiative and the ability to prioritise your workload
* Keen attention to detail and relaxed under pressure
* Comfortable with figures as you'll be working to recipes
What you get:
* Basic salary GBP20,000 p/a
* Pension contribution
* 26 days holiday plus bank holidays
* Monday - Friday 9-5
