Digital Designer needed for a well established ecommerce company based within Central London. You will work with the CRM team to design and build all CRM marketing, primarily consisting of email, but also social display, and onsite banners / landing pages. Working closely with the CRM team will mean being involved in planning and problem solving from the start of an idea so you have clear context as you begin designs, as well as being involved in ongoing strategy to improve and optimise CRM activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of CRM and CRM Executive by bringing the CRM strategy to life through ongoing development, innovation, optimisation and enhancement to drive customer retention and revenue.
  • Be involved in creative campaigns from the beginning concept and translate this through to email in the best possible way.
  • Mentor, train and guide Junior Designers in relation to email.
  • Oversee and managing the production and creation of emails for both CRM and BAU.
  • Own and protect the Email Guideline Guide and work closely with the Head of Creative for any update.
  • Design and build all responsive HTML emails for the CRM program.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing email creatives and templates.
  • Research email best practice to ensure we are at the forefront of innovation, staying ahead of the competition.
  • You will implement various testing schedules in order to optimise CRM activities, such as time / day of email sends and A / B tests for content and subject lines.
  • You will be able to troubleshoot and fix errors in HTML when required.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge designing and building dynamic, mobile optimised, responsive HTML email templates (Ometria).
  • Have an understanding of the limitations and behavior of different email clients and browsers.
  • Good knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Suite with excellent digital design, graphic and typography skills.
  • A good knowledge and passion for digital technology and functionality - especially around eCRM, and are willing to propose new directions, solutions and practices.
  • Ideally, you will have retail ecommerce experience.
  • A strong portfolio showing examples of relevant work produced exhibiting strong design, creative, typography, colour and layout theory and application skills.
