Salary: circa GBP25 ph negotiable, subject to experience

Our client is looking for an Experienced, Principle Contractor, Site based Quantity Surveyor preferably RICS ( but not essential) on a project based in Leeds, City Centre.

This is a GBP7.3 million refurbishment & part new build project constituting 2 separate buildings and will need someone that can work within a busy site set up.

The Site Quantity Surveyor will need to be experienced in all aspects of site QS processes and procedures, including:

• Site measure and control, progress and CVR reporting to our Commercial Manager
• Control and organisation of drawings and documents
• Valuations and Variations, RFI,CVI and costing
• Applications for payments etc.
• Subcontract management, tenders, procurement, stage payments and final accounts
• Previous on-site experience on projects up to GBP10million

They will need to liaise with site staff and senior management to present reports and progress of the project etc. The project runs approximately for a year.

The successful candidate will be expected to attend head office meetings near Manchester on weekly basis.

Qualifications and Skills

A Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.

Excellent and proven analytical skills, clear financial understanding with a serious ability to manage, track and save costs.

Good Communication skills demonstrating an understanding of the construction process, interaction between trades and all parties.

Proficient IT Skills with various software and Data systems including Excel, experience with Builder Storm Construction Software would be an advantage.
