A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You'll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.

Our team helps our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You'll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
  • Train and lead staff
  • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Our Technology & Innovation team enables the development and adoption of new technologies within the Tax line of service. We are a diverse and multi-disciplinary group of c45 including data scientists, developers and project specialists. And our key areas of focus are internal process automation, digital client service, and data & analytics.

We are looking for a experienced Senior Associates to play a key role in building the Learning Lab proposition for PwC UK. Learning Lab aims to provide an unrivalled personalised online learning experience which helps people to reach their full potential. This is a challenging role in which you will have the opportunity to shine.

The core responsibilities and attributes are

Essential

  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and a mature approach to dealing with challenge.

  • Demonstrate the ability to use, or quickly learn how to use, graphics, video development and video editing software (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud) to create training assets for courses delivered on Learning Lab.

  • Awareness and passion for eLearning and Learning Technologies and how they can be used to add value and transform the way we learn

  • Strong analytical and project management skills to effectively identify issues and be able to apply sound conclusions resulting in the right solution, at the right time and at the right cost

  • Demonstrate experience in developing and delivering training either in a corporate or school setting. Also having a passion to understand how people learn, improve online learning experiences and be aware of the latest thinking and best practice for learning.

  • Be able to work with teams to agree the scope, learning objectives, design content, design the delivery, produce assets and implement training courses in a wide range of topics and disciplines. Also work closely with assigned SMEs (subject matter experts) to write the content, review drafts of the training and sign off final materials.

  • Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to adapt and work effectively in a changing environment. Be eager to learn new skills and take on a variety of different tasks, with limited notice guidance or prior experience, to develop this new proposition as an intrapreneur.

  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently as well as a working professionally and collaboratively as part of a wider-team

  • Communicate confidently and effectively, at all levels, both in written and verbal form

  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships

  • Highly energised and motivated to effect change and influence the firm's approach to people development

Desirable

  • Work with client facing stakeholders from all lines of service and all PwC territories globally, to identify opportunities to deliver training to clients. You will need to quickly understand the specific business context so that you can provide valuable challenge and guidance.

  • Manage the delivery of the solution to clients to ensure high levels of adoption by setting up users, providing onboarding advice and guidance, and supporting the Operations team with handling user's queries.

  • Have an awareness of Intellectual Property Rights (i.e. copyright) requirements applicable to their activities
