The responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor will be as follows:
Providing both Reactive & PPM schedules for the company's CNC machining plant and associated equipment
Provide leadership in a team environment, and the allocation of relevant maintenance work for the Maintenance Team
Provides relevant information to production supervision and engineering for remediation of repeat failures
Ability to problem solve on a variety of CNC machinery within a demanding production environment
Responding to breakdowns during core hours and emergency out of hours to minimise downtimes
Maintain equipment logs on manufacturing equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems
Involvement in Project Work i.e. New Machine Installations, re-siting and removal of machine tools and equipment
Identify and implement opportunities for maintenance best practice / continuous improvement
To fulfil these responsibilities, the Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor must have the following experience:
HNC qualified, apprentice trained or equivalent experience
Electrical qualification to 16th or 17th addition
Solid background in maintenance engineering activity within a CNC machining environment
Good understanding of pneumatics
Good understanding of electrical schematics
PLC experience
Demonstrable background in driving maintenance best practice / continuous improvement
Ability to engage with all areas of the business and promote maintenance best practice
Good communication & IT skills
