Job Title; Production Manager
Salary; GBP40,000 per annum
Shift; Monday - Friday, day shift
Location; Leicestershire
Our client a prestigious manufacturing company based in Leicestershire, are seeking a Production Manager to join their established team. The Production Manager will take the lead in planning and organising production workload and act as the central point, overseeing quality and productivity by leading the production teams.
The Production Manager Role;
* Manage and lead a Production Team of 30 reports, delivering the day plan and addressing 'problem areas'
* Contribute and communicate to the team quality performance and standards
* Complete both administrative and "Hands on" production operations support
* Carry out checks and shelf life verification on key material stock
* Promote and facilitate continuous improvement activity
* Apply first level local disciplinary issues in accordance with company procedures
* Monitor and maintain Skills Matrix and address training issues or concerns
* Ensure adequate material supply in support of the manufacturing plan
* Liaise with the Planner in the creation of the plan giving guidance on current capacity constraints
* Manage standard hours versus forecast in order to meet production targets
* Handle health, safety and environmental concerns and ensure that procedures are adhered to
* Ensure excellent housekeeping standards are adhered to by the team

* Experience of working within a fast paced production environment where there is a high degree of customisation
* Experience of leading and influencing large teams
* Experience of delivering tangible improvement results and leading and delivering improvement projects
* Excellent problem solving ability
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and good attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft packages
* Flexible approach to working hours
