HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver
Existing or recently expired HIAB qualification is essential
Location: York area
Rate of pay: GBP11.00 per hour PAYE
Contract Type:
* Ongoing contract
* Guarantee of 45 hours per week (minimum) for the duration of the contract
Job Description:
HGMS have the sole contract to supply the UK's leading building distribution company and are looking for Class 2 HIAB drivers to work on a contract until at least October 2019 with strong possibility of an extension.
The role involves supporting a cluster/group of branches within a 30/50 mile travel radius of your home branch. Largely, you will be driving Class 2 HIAB Lorries to complete the customer deliveries.
Required:
* Valid HIAB Lorry Loader Ticket/Card/Certificate (or recently expired). We are able to offer conversion training from hook to grab, manual to remote or refresher training to those whose HIAB Lorry Loader cards have recently expired within the last 12 months (ALLMI/ITTSAR/RTITB preferred)
Please note that this is not a trainee position, and we are unable to consider applications from drivers with no previous HIAB Lorry Loader experience/qualification. To avoid disappointment, we respectfully ask that applicants who have never held any HIAB qualifications do not apply.
Essential skills
* Minimum of 6 month commercial driving experience of HGV 2 in the past 12 months
* Valid or expired HIAB Lorry Loader Ticket/Certificate for Remote brick grab and hook
* Valid CPC / Digi Tacho
* No more than 6 points on your driving licence
* Over the age of 21 (due to insurance restrictions)
* Right to work in the UK
* Own transport
* Excellent customer service skills
