An experienced Payroll Officer is required for a leading organisation based in Sidcup on a 9 month contract.
The successful candidate will be joining an amazing company who truly put their staff first.
Working as part of the payroll team, a key aspect of this role is to provide an effective payroll service ensuring compliance for over 1600 employees.
This role is immediately available with potential interviews taking place next week!
Key responsibilities:
* Answer queries from employees, management and all other external bodies promptly and effectively
* Be responsible for the completion of month end tasks assigned by the Payroll Manager
* Allocate correct costings in line with the structure as determined by the Finance Department
* Maintain an up to date knowledge of legislation in relation to payroll
* Process payments manually ensuring relevant records are updated accordingly and the correct treatment of statutory deductions are applied

* Ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time.
* All costings are coded correctly according to the costings structure set out by the Finance Department
Person Specification:
* At least 2 years of practical payroll experience.
* Understanding of all legislation in relation to payroll.
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Customer service focus
* Strong IT skills including Excel.
9 Month contract
Salary up to GBP23K
