We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Building Inspector to join our team. You will develop, manage and record compliance servicing programmes that ensure all relevant legislation is met then use the results to highlight, detect and prevent non-compliance issues.

Proactive in your approach, you will monitor and review third-party service reports certificates and assessments such as electrical condition reports and Fire Risk Assessments, assess and prioritise any recommendations and ensure actions are put in place to resolve any issues.

You will establish and maintain robust and accurate compliance files and reports for new and existing service programmes and manage consultant and contractor registration membership to appropriate bodies such as Gas Safe, NICEIC, Asbestos.

Reporting to the Asset Manager and working with the Asset team, you will assist with investigations of construction defects to the properties that involve third parties such as insurance, environmental health, NHBC, structural engineers.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of managing a team, a good working knowledge of Housing Management and Health and Safety legislation and requirements. You will have good knowledge of fire risk assessments with the ability to prepare technical reports and specifications. Experience of working with contractors in social housing is beneficial. Full and current driving licence and the use of own vehicle is required.
