Infrastructure Engineer (Security Administration)

It is an exciting time for our client as they embark on a major transformation programme. Their ambition is to become the world's leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data. They are now looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (Security Administration) to join their Digital, Data and Technology team to help them to achieve this.

Salary: GBP25,247 (plus IT allowance of up to GBP4,609 may be payable)

About the role:
The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate is the in-house IT division for our client. They are currently recruiting several roles to ensure the directorate's teams contain the right blend of skills, experience and knowledge to take their major transformation programme forward. These teams are at the heart of the move to a digital, data-driven organisation with the ambition to provide their customers with cutting-edge digital services.

They are looking for talented and tenacious people to join their Security Administration team, the team deliver a range of activities to support the delivery and maintenance of our client's security systems. They provide support to over 3500 internal users and hundreds of thousands of external digital portal customers.

Located in the vibrant waterfront city of Plymouth, their environmentally friendly offices provide a great setting in which to work. Hundreds of miles of stunning coastline and 368 square miles of Dartmoor National Park are within easy reach.

About you:
The successful candidate will already have experience in server administration, PowerShell (or equivalent) and the patching and maintenance of server systems. You will be expected to plan and prioritise your own work load and work effectively as part of a team. You will have good communication skills and can demonstrate a logical analytical approach to problem solving and the initiative and determination to complete tasks.

You will hold a qualification in Information Technology or a related area (Degree Level or equivalent) or experience in an IT field.

- Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is security check.
