Car Sales Consultant

York Ward & Rowlatt is a privately owned, independent dealer representing the Vauxhall franchise. Our company was first established in Wellingborough over 175 years ago and, from the coach building in those days to the Vauxhall retailer of today, we have put the needs of our customers at the forefront of everything we do.

For the past 6 years we have been awarded the Vauxhall Customer Excellence Award - the only dealer in Northamptonshire to have reached such high standards in sales and aftersales on a continuing basis. Over 95% of our customers would recommend us for the purchase of a new or used vehicle.

We are looking for a full time Car Sales Consultant , preferably with experience in the car sales environment. Training will be available with the Vauxhall Academy.

The Sales Consultant role involves:
  • Sales of vehicles, which are accompanied by substantial financial rewards
  • Sales of service plans
  • Maintenance and update of a diary system
  • Conducting test drives
  • Periodic hosting of off-site events
As this role will involve test drives, all candidates must hold a UK manual driving licence with NO points. For the purposes of our company insurance, full licences must have been held for at least one year.

Hours:
Candidates should be willing and able to work the following shifts and hours:
5 day weeks 8.30am to 6pm with occasional late rota - 7pm finish. One week day off per week.
Saturdays 8.30am to 5pm
One Sunday per month 10am to 4pm.
