We are looking for a Mechanical biased Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding maintenance team.
Reporting to the Engineering manager your Main Responsibilities will be.
* Minimise downtime through close attention to preventative maintenance of equipment.
* Carry out the allocated tasks assigned by the shift supervisor for both breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance.
* Work closely with engineering and factory colleagues.
* Ensure a prompt response to breakdown or plant failure.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and operating procedures.
The Person
* Completed a recognised multiskilled or Mechanical apprenticeship
* Educated to minimum NVQ 3 or HNC preferred.
* Previous experience working within the screen printing or plastics industry preferred not essential
* Previous experience working with injection moulding equipment preferred not essential.
* Significant experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Self-starter, proactive, prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision
* Works well under pressure
* Practical approach
* Team player
You will be working on a rotational late, earlies and night shift pattern, Monday - Friday.
Candidates should be flexible, and have a willingness to work overtime.
