Memorial Operative

Our client is currently seeking a Memorial Operative for their Diss based business. You will be working as part of the production team within a Stone Masonry business and will be involved in the fabrication of stone and marble.

This will involve the following duties:

• The movement of materials from the yard to the production area, using the trolley provided
• The cutting of Stone and Marble materials using the appropriate equipment. Which will include the use of hand and bench power tools
• Drilling of materials using the appropriate equipment to create holes for the assembly of Headstones and Vases
• Cleaning off any materials, painting and infilling any required lettering and polishing finished items prior to despatch

All training will be given with regard to any machinery or equipment that is required within all aspects of this production.

As part of the team you will also be required to travel to sites to assist with the installation of memorial items. This will involve ground clearance for the memorial items and include lifting of turf, making a level working surface and the laying of slabs.

You will also be required to carry out any other related duties, such as maintaining a clean working area and adhere to all Health & Safety best practice at all times.
