Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Mechanical)
Are you a Maintenance Technician looking for an exciting challenge? Our client is looking for a candidate to work in conjunction with the other members of the maintenance and engineering department, implement and improve all aspects of terminal mechanical engineering - primarily "hands-on" maintenance & inspection activities. Furthermore, the Maintenance Technician must maintain a safe working environment to the benefit of all stakeholders, working to our client's statutory health, safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
* Comply with safety and environmental policies and procedures.
* Assist in controlling the terminal engineering maintenance & inspection activities.
* Ensure safe systems of work are implemented including permits to work.
* Liaise with Engineering Manager to ensure standards are adhered to at all times.
* Utilise the company CMMS (SAPS) system to input and retrieve information related PPM.
* Assist others in the maintenance department to carry out the terminal maintenance work dictated by production priority.
* Assist the operations department to carry out maintenance work dictated by production priority
Requirements:
* BTEC/HNC or equivalent in Engineering.
* Experience may be considered in lieu of BTEC/HNC.
* Time-served mechanical technician with at least 5 years' experience in an engineering maintenance role.
* Experienced in the storage and handling of petroleum liquids and/or chemicals preferably in ship-shore operations.
* Knowledge of maintenance and inspection of pipework and transfer systems including pumps, air compressors, pipework & valves, vapour recovery, fire systems, building services and nitrogen systems.
* Knowledge of working in compliance with UK industrial safety standards
