The College has introduced a new pathway into engineering with an aerospace specialism to deliver and train future aerospace engineers to assist with the skill shortage in the sector and will require an experienced lecturer in Aerospace.

The post-holder will be involved in the marketing, planning, delivery, assessment and internal verification of Aeronautical Engineering programmes, ranging from level 2 - level 5 and will also be required to develop City and Guilds qualificationat Level 2 for 17-18 and L3 for 18-19 delivery.

They will also be involved in supporting the College learners in achieving their academic goals and career progression by delivering high quality lessons, and ensuring high student attendance and satisfaction.

The post-holders existing excellent skills will be enhanced by the Colleges continuous professional development programme, and ideally already taught or managed aerospace engineering programmes.

The ideal candidate will hold a full teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one. To be successful in this role, you'll need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skillsand be able to effectively motivate and inspire others. You'll also have exceptional organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills.

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation ofOffenders Act 1974. Accordingly, most staff will be subject to either a 'Standard' or 'Enhanced' CRB check and a List 99 check, which confirms there is no barring in place.
