Senior Financial Modelling Analyst

Do you have a good working knowledge of VBA and financial modelling skills? Perhaps you studied financial modelling at university and are keen to use these skills in a working environment. If so, this is the ideal role for you. We are seeking a Senior Financial Modelling Analyst for a leading financial services organisation based in Coventry to help develop their financial models and reports.

You will be responsible for

• Developing the business modelling capability of the business in close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the business.
• By applying quantitative analysis and collating expert judgement you will develop an understanding of key components of the business then use that to develop or enhance the modelling of those components.
• You will also take a holistic view of the modelling universe to ensure that modelling within Finance is done in the most effective and coherent fashion and in compliance with the model risk framework.
• You will recommend and manage developments and implementations for improvement in financial analysis and modelling leading to improved analysis of financial outcomes and trends, in turn leading to improved financial risk modelling.

You will ideally have a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths/Accounting based subject, and will have gained practical experience in an Accounting / Finance function. You will have an advanced level of MS Excel knowledge including VBA and will have proven ability to build Excel Models (although this may only have been during your degree). In addition you must have a proven track record of communicating effectively with a variety of internal stakeholders.
