TMC Operational Team Leader - Group Travel, M&E

Salary up to GBP38,000 per year

Jewels Travel & Hospitality Recruitment are seeking an experience Travel Operations Team Leader reporting directly to the Head of Group Travel.

As Team Leader you will be responsible for managing a team of 7-10 staff.

You will be responsible for the quality, performance and output of the Group Travel Planners.

The responsibility extends to managing the daily operation through multiple inbound/outbound channels including phone and e-mail of all group travel meetings reservations as well as driving future reservations online.

Mentoring and developing your team, identifying opportunities to enhance skills and experience through training and career development.

Experience required:

• Experienced in working within the Travel Industry ideally a TMC
• Essential to have proven and strong background in leadership and managing a team within the Travel Industry.
• Experience of operational management preferably within the meetings group and events industry but not essential
• Excellent Geographical and system knowledge
• Ability to understand and act on the key metrics and business drivers
• Experienced in people development and management
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
• Strong organisational and time management skills
