Permanent | 37 hours /week

The Role

To this end, we are currently recruiting a new Delivery Manager to work specifically with our fire-safety team as well as the wider asset management team. This post will be based from Halifax, Yorkshire.

You will be the lead officer on any and all fire safety related management issues, which will also encapsulate ongoing full compliance. This compliance is with not only all legal & statutory undertakings, but also any “best practice” advice, above and beyond legal guides.

About You

You must have a good all-round understanding of all relevant guidance, legislation as well as having previous management experience. In addition, you will need to be experienced in the managing & supervising of contractors relating to fire safety works.

You will be required to have a highly adaptable nature, and the ability to work under pressure in a sector whose nature can quickly change and different demands will be placed on the team as new legislation and reviews come into force.

In order to be successful as a Delivery Manager [Fire Safety], based in Halifax, West Yorkshire you would require the following key skills, knowledge & experience; 

  • You must hold a formal and active registration with a professional body, and be qualified to undertake current Fire Risk Assessments
  • You must have experience of managing contractors to ensure an efficient, fully compliant and value for money service is provided
  • You will require substantial experience in the delivery of a front line service relating to Fire Safety  and to a consistently high level
  • You will require experience from working within a building & surveying environment, which must incorporate financial and budgetary management and the ability to accurately forecast cash-flow

The ideal candidate will also:

  • Have experience from working within a local authority / RSL, Fire & Rescue Service of a similar environment.
  • Candidates should also have knowledge and an appreciation of all relevant Fire Safety regulations

Due to the nature of the role, you will require a full driving license and a vehicle available for work purposes, insured for business use.
