Our prestigious client, with over 175 years trading experience and a nationwide network of branches, is seeking a suitably experienced HR Business Partner. The branch network supplies timber and building materials to all parts of the construction industry.

The HR Business Partner role will collaborate with the senior operations team to oversee all human resources operations, devising and implementing business and people solutions and ensuring alignment with the company business goals. If you’re an experienced HR Business Partner with proven experience of people management then this exciting opportunity could be for you!

Key Responsibilities – HR Business Partner:

 

  • Interpret, advise and implement policies and procedures
  • Agree and support the implementation of People plans
  • Create and maintain a talent and succession plan for the overall business
  • Identify training and development needs and offer solutions and advice
  • Support managers to deal effectively with all performance management issues and processes including disciplinary and grievance issues in line with company policies and procedures
  • Capture all employees records in a secure timely manner
  • Analyse and make recommendations on Reward and Recognition policies and processes
  • Train and coach managers in all aspects of people management
  • Ensure compliance across the business with UK employment law, statutory regulations and Company policy and procedures

 

Personal Specification - HR Business Partner:

 

  • Qualified to degree level or similar by experience (CIPD Preferred)
  • Professional at all times
  • Tactful and diplomatic with the ability to deal with difficult situations
  • A high regard for maintaining confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Good presentation skills
  • Positive, solution focused, can do attitude
  • Passionate about delivering value in your role
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
