2.5 year fixed term contract – 37 hour week

We are seeking a suitably qualified Business Advisor to join the well- established team of a local business support organisation who operate to assist SME’s in North East Lincolnshire. Your role as Growth Hub Business Advisor will be to help businesses objectively and realistically review their performance, identify strengths and weaknesses and provide professional advice and guidance to optimise opportunities for growth. Ideally a Business Advisor with proven experience within business, either in management or in an advisory capacity, you will understand the value of business support. If you are an individual with a passion for enterprise and the ability to make contact and add value to the business community this job will offer an exciting and rewarding challenge.

Key Responsibilities – Growth Advisor:

 

  • Provide professional and meaningful advice to existing and new local businesses;
  • To deliver business support outcomes and impacts, fully documented on an agreed timescale as required by the Humber LEP Growth Hub.
  • Engage with business networks, business support providers and other advisors through both the Greater Lincolnshire and Humber Growth Hubs, to identify clients within the area;
  • Carry out face to face liaison with business owners and managers through the completion of an E-Factor Business Review where appropriate as part of the process;
  • Identify priorities within the business and mutually agree an action plan;
  • Attend business network events;
  • To undertake on-going activity to measure customer satisfaction;

 

Personal Specification – Growth Advisor:

 

  • Ability to work well under pressure – managing a wide caseload of clients with different needs;
  • Significant knowledge and proven ability of identifying business performance issues and developing strategies and action plans;
  • Ability to analyse and help develop a company’s business plan, with an understanding of financials;
  • A good understanding of market trends;
  • Good attention to detail;
  • Self-starter and able to work with initiative and independently;
  • Excellent time management skills;
