Production Technician
SCOPE:
The manufacture of electronic assemblies to a skilled level. Primarily through using the mascot tables and preforming parts but also through tasks within the main responsibilities section below.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
General standard of education required.
Experience within electronic manufacturing environment - not essential but preferred.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
To be aware of company health and safety requirements.
To understand and implement necessary anti-static precautions.
To be competent in building PCB's up to flow solder stage, either by use of mascot tables or by hand.
To be competent in preforming parts, either by use of machinery or by hand.
To be competent in operating the PCB cropping machine prior to flow soldering.
To be able to operate the flow solder machine at a basic level.
To be fully competent in all areas of hand soldering techniques.
To understand manufacturing documents and follow specific instructions.
To follow instructions as indicated on BOM and route cards and customer drawings.
To understand IPC (best practice) standards with regard to own area.
Role is 39 hours a week at GBP7.83 per hour. 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 1pm on Friday, 30 mins for lunch with two 15 min breaks (1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon).
