You will have responsibility for supporting people who have learning disabilities and sometimes complex needs in day-to-day workings of a smallholding. You will, therefore, be required to have a range of Horticultural and Support worker skills or the potential to develop these skills.

The post requires a multi-skilled and flexible approach to the tasks required of you.

You will also need a full clean driving license, part of your duties will be to drive a minibus and take part in a transport Rota.

Much of the work is physical and outdoors, therefore, you need to be physically fit and like working outdoors in all weathers. You will also need to operate small agricultural type machinery such as walk-behind tractors. Occasional weekend work and overtime as part of a team Rota are also required.

You will be part of an established team of Support / Horticultural Workers developing our smallholding Derwen Cornel. We are growing food within polytunnels and directly from the field. You will also be required to sell our products to the public through pop up stalls and other outlets.

We also keep Chickens and Alpacas which you will be required to look after.

You will also help to develop a series of interlinked environmental projects to enhance the landscape. We may also keep some additional livestock at a later date and you could be required to assist with this aspect of the job as well.
