SALARY: £32,000 - £45,000

What it’s about

These are exciting times for Cambridge English Language Assessment as we look to modernise our systems and strive to find creative and innovative ways to improve our products and services to customers. To enable us to meet the ever increasing demand for our services, we are seeking to appoint two experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic Operations Managers, who will thrive in this changing environment and is motivated by delivering excellent customer service.

What you’ll be doing

This role encompasses a range of tasks and responsibilities. Reporting to a Senior Operations Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for key parts of the test processing cycle, working with and deputising for the Senior Operations Managers in managing the delivery of a range of processes and ensuring that the rigorous standards of the procedures are followed in the delivery of tests
  • Ensure that processes are carried out and related documentation is produced to the highest levels of quality and accuracy at all of the stages assigned to the post, following standard procedures and to pre-established schedules
  • Develop and maintain a culture of systematic process review looking to standardise and homogenize processes as much as possible therefore maximising process efficiency, cost effectiveness and flexibility of resource
  • Make routine operational decisions to ensure that processes meet Cambridge Assessment English standards and candidates receive reliable results
  • Provide effective training and line management to a number of permanent Operations Support Managers and/or Senior Operations Administrators following CA procedures and providing liaison between management and HR as appropriate.
  • Take ownership of and facilitate the progression of strategic operational developments for the processes you are responsible for. Ensuring valid and reliable assessments and services, which meet market demand, are delivered in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Lead and manage process reviews, focusing on the future development of new services and systems to introduce efficiency gains and ensuring the most effective customer focused solution is available for the business.
  • To assist Senior Operations Managers in effectively implementing new procedures and system developments.

What we’re looking for

The successful candidate should have experience of working in a busy office environment, experience of managing and motivating teams and working under pressure to demanding deadlines.  Ideally you will also have experience of working on large projects and systems development.
