Part of a global aviation group we are an OEM-certified engineering company dedicated to providing maintenance, repair and overhaul services for small gas turbine and turbofan engines used in aviation. Our authorisations cover the majority of turbine engine models powering fixed and rotary wing aircraft used for business aviation, and many of the engines used in government, military and commercial applications.

The Aero Aircraft Engine Technician Role:

The role of the Aero Aircraft Engine Technician is to carry out repairs, overhauls and refurbishments of aircraft engines and/or components in line with customer requirements and manufacturer specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved.

Main Responsibilities

+ Check in and strip engines/components/products in line with engineering instructions
+ Carry out basic cleaning of components as appropriate
+ Inspect all relevant components and identify items for scrap, rework or refit using product information and OEM manuals in accordance with company procedures and Quality Manuals.
+ Ensure all components for rebuilding are to required specifications and available within agreed turn time targets.
+ Build unit to defined standard ensuring fit, clearance and modification levels are accurate
+ Prepare/set up unit for testing
+ Test unit and ensure all agreed checks are actioned
+ Carry out final checks on completed units ensuring all paperwork is appropriately stamped
+ Meet team deadlines to include monthly, quarterly and year-end close duties and reporting requirements
+ Any other duties that may reasonably be requested by the management team

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

+ Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship 
+ Computer literate
