Contract Type: Full Time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Fixed Term until 31/01/2020

We are currently recruiting for two Industry Placement Coordinators to join us at South Devon College to coordinate the development, delivery and evaluation of industry placements in preparation for the launch of T Levels by the College. 

The role will include close working with College staff, students and employers to set up and implement the systems and processes to meet the expectations set out by the DfE and ESFA in relation to industry placements and T Levels. 

Each role will be based within one section/department (Hi Tech and Digital/Business, Automotive and Marine) but will also work across College linking with curriculum sections to develop and embed industry placements as the initiative develops.

The role will be hands on, requiring active engagement with students and employers to ensure planning, delivery, assessment and evaluation of industry placements add value to the student study programme and further develops the links between the College and employers.

The post will play a key role in developing and maintaining outstanding working relationships with external and internal stakeholders, particularly integrating industry placements into the existing work based learning opportunities, including study programme work experience, apprenticeships and traineeships.

The successful candidates will need to hold a relevant level 3 qualification (or higher), GCSE level qualifications or equivalent, with grade C or above in English and maths, and hold, or be prepared to work towards, IQA assessor and verifier awards.  Experience in a similar role, organising delivery and monitoring and evaluating the quality of placements for learning programmes is essential, along with experience of working within an educational or training organisation.  We are looking for individuals who have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills and an awareness of budgetary frameworks.
