Working in partnership with Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, we are currently recruiting for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to cover sites throughout the Rochdale Borough. The contract will run through to the end of October.
You must have previous experience of using a 'ride-on-mower'
You will be responsible for maintaining communal green spaces and duties will include:
• Grass cutting
• Weeding
• Pruning and cutting shrubs and trees
• Using hand held machinery
• General tidying and maintenance
Knowledge and skills required:
• Practical experience in a horticultural environment
• General awareness of Health and Safety and an ability to work in line with risk assessments
• Able to work with minimum supervision and use your own initiative
• Ability to undertake a wide variety of work including heavy lifting
• Able to work a variety of hours
• Excellent customer service skills - put the customer first
You will hold a full driving licence and it would be beneficial if applicants have the PA1/PA6 spraying licence.
