Fire Protection Inspecting Officer

We are looking to recruit a full-time Fire Protection Inspecting Officer to work within the Fire Protection team based at Service Headquarters in Birstall.

You will have a good understanding and knowledge of risk management processes and their application. You will be required to have a high level of written communication skills sufficient to write complex reports. Effective interpersonal, presentation and oral skills are essential in this role when communicating to various audiences.

The successful applicant will need to have achieved a Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or be willing to work towards this during a probationary period, and will need to have completed the A-C Fire Service modules at the Fire Service College (FSC) or be able to demonstrate that they have an equivalent qualification with an appropriate level of experience.

You will be required to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility can be given regarding start and finish times and this can be discussed at interview.
