Our global client is looking for an Operations Co-ordinator to join their team in Luton.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fun, dynamic environment. You will not be sitting at a desk all day and will work a shift pattern (6 days on, 3 days off) including weekends
Job Purpose:
Participate in the daily operation of the office. You should be an organized professional with the ability to manage your own workload prioritizing tasks to achieve completion of the job. You must have good verbal and written communication skills with an attention to detail. The role is very varied, so you will be required to be flexible and work as part of a small team.
Hours:
A mix of early and late shifts on a 6 on 3 off shift pattern
6:00-14:00
14:00-22:00
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Answer all telephone calls swiftly, courteously and efficiently taking messages
* Monitor and respond to all emails
* Input orders onto the system
* Allocate each job to the delivery drivers.
* Assist with the packing of the orders.
* Take delivery, sort and distribute incoming mail.
* Respond to enquiries from clients
* Support the maintenance of office filing, manuals and shared file storage systems.
* Greet visitors to the unit ensuring the correct visitor documentation is completed.
* Update and maintain contact list for both employees, clients, suppliers and emergency contractors.
* Monitor and maintain office supplies.
* Ensure all office equipment is properly maintained.
* Fax, scan, copy and type any documents reports and correspondence as required.
* Perform any work-related errands
* Assist with coordinating meetings, appointments, travel, and events on an ad-hoc basis.
* Keep the office area clean and tidy.
Education & Experience
* Competent in computer skills including MS Office
* Experience in the use of email, answering of telephone systems, and an office environment.
* Numeracy and literacy skills.
* Experience in a sales or customer service environment would be desirable but is not essential.
* A qualification in business skills would be advantageous.
* You must hold a full UK driving license
