Looking for a career in a Historic Environment Record with varied archaeological landscape? It’s time to join our team and become part of the story.
From the iconic East Coast seaside and the rich prehistoric landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds, to medieval Hull, and industrial Goole. The archaeology and heritage of East Riding of Yorkshire is currently transforming understanding of Iron Age Britain. Explore this landscape alongside Hull, a city of ambition, a city that sparked the English Civil War, with rich surviving medieval remains. We are an ambitious team, transforming the HER into a dynamic resource, including an Urban Archaeological Database and Maritime HER record.

You will oversee the paper based HER transform into a digital record which reflects the significance of our heritage. The post is an East Riding of Yorkshire Council post but will sit in Hull City Council.
* Advert No. PDEV000073 - 12 month fixed term contract funded by Historic England. You will enhance the HER, specifically developing the evidence base for Hull Old Town working alongside the Senior HER Officer and the wider team.
