Due to an increase in work load our client, an international engineering company, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Test Technician to work as part of their customer support team in this new permanent role.
Your duties will include:
Test and investigate products returned by customers to identify failure causes and determine appropriate rework or repair schemes.
Record investigation findings to provide to the customer including the use of 8D format reports.
Perform repair or rework.
Support production activities by investigating and repairing end-of-line test failures.
Determine the root causes of failures and identify improvement opportunities.
You will need:
A BTEC ONC in electronics or relevant experience.
Computer literate.
Ability to read schematic diagrams.
Working knowledge of electronic fault finding and repair techniques advantageous.
Able to work under pressure, produce quality work with attention to detail.
A team player able to fit in with an existing team.
Based on the Bournemouth Airport Business Park, working Monday to Thursday 7.00 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. (37 hours) with salary GBP17,500 plus any hours worked over 37 paid at time and a half, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, annual bonus, pension plus free parking
