Female Personal Care Assistant

Female Carer/PA for 23 year old lady with spinal injury. Offering the opportunity to relocate to London. The role is based in London, but accommodation is provided, rent free, excluding bills (this is NOT a live-in role, the accommodation will be a separate apartment). The young lady is paralysed from the neck down and therefore is a full time wheelchair user. She has a small team of carers who support her 24/7, on a rota. Her injury is purely physical and she has NO cognitive difficulties.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Personal Care 
  • dressing
  • transferring (uses a hoist)
  • showering
  • bowel and catheter management
  • feeding
  • administrating medication
• Driving 
• Cooking
• General housekeeping
• Supporting with daily activities (working, socialising etc)

Job requirements:

• Full, clean driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
• NO previous experience required
• Fluent english speaking
• Must be over 21 (car insurance purposes)

Training:

• ALL training will be done in-house by current care team. You will be given the opportunity to shadow shifts (all training is paid on the standard hourly rate) 

Job details:

This is a full-time role. The job includes both day and night shifts. The hours are Monday - Friday, two weeks of days (7am-7pm) followed by two weeks of nights (7pm-7am), on a rolling rota. The wage is paid on an hourly rate. There is a probationary period of 3 months, with an hourly rate of £10 per hour. Following the successful completion of probation, your wage will automatically increase to £12 per hour. You are also entitled to annual leave which will be accrued as you work.

As she travels relatively frequently, she is looking for someone who would be willing and able to travel with her. When abroad, all expenses will be covered.
