We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Food Production Supervisor to join a UK's leading food manufacturers based in South Yorkshire.
This is a permanent positions (with an initial probation period) and you will be reporting to the Shift Manager to support with the responsibilities of the hour-by-hour running of operations of the facility.
The standard shift pattern is: Sun to Wed night shift of 8pm to 6am and flexibility is required due to unplanned events taking place (such as audits), so some out of hours and additional hours cover may be required.
Salary for the position is between GBP21,000 to GBP24,500 (dependant on experience).
You will need to have a minimum of 3 + year's experience working in a similar position within the food manufacturing industry (ideal experience by working with sauces/dips products)
As the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the productivity and quality of the Operative's performance. You will be leading a team in a hands-on role, team size of initially 10-15 (which will increase to approx. 40, long-term)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
Tracking of production and achieving site performance and quality targets through the effective and efficient planning and running of the shift.
Enforcing Health & Safety protocols to ensure protection to all
Motivating a team of operatives through good communication, training and development.
The implementation and monitoring of company processes and procedures and capturing all administration through to completion, including accurate and timely completion of management reports.
Timely production of shift production planning prior to the next shift commencing
Assisting with any audits within agreed schedules
Rotation and Organisation of labour within their area of control.
Ensure that general housekeeping adherence is maintained, including site cleanliness and individuals are completing tasks that have been assigned to them in accordance to your time scales
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
You will need to have a minimum of 3 + year's experience working in a similar position within the food manufacturing industry (ideal experience by working with sauces/dips products)
Recognised Food Safety qualification
Recognised Food Hygiene qualification
HACCP Level 2 (or above)
Supervisory qualification - experience of managing a team of 10-40 people
