A rapidly-growing specialist precision engineering company that specialise in designing and manufacturing bespoke automation solutions are looking for an Estimator to work in a diverse range of industries including general food production, confectionary, FMGC, tobacco, pharmaceutical and medical device.
You will be responsible for creating and optimising the way in which there products are manufactured ensuring the highest level of quality, affordability and efficiency by preparing accurate machine operation time estimates for the manufacture of complex machined components to support new special purpose machine build and spares.
Key Skills
* Experienced estimator / manufacturing engineer with a strong CNC machining background.
* Fully conversant with modern manufacturing techniques.
* Experience of machining precision components parts.
* Good working knowledge of CAD CAM systems.
* Strong time management skills with the ability to deliver multiple requirements concurrently to demanding timescales.
* Good commercial awareness particularly when dealing with external suppliers
* Must be dynamic, enthusiastic with excellent communication skills with the ability to fit into a multi-functional team environment.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
* Ability to provide quality information within deadlines.
* Proactive interaction with other functions.
* Attention to detail.
Qualifications
* At least 5 years manufacturing experience in a similar or relevant environment.
* Minimum HNC qualified in mechanical engineering discipline (Desirable).
