Head of Offshore Wind

Fred. Olsen Renewables is a leading, owner and operator of renewable energy assets. Together with our newly established sister company Fred. Olsen Green Power - focusing on business development, land banking & consenting, new technology and new markets - we operate in all parts of the energy value chain, from site identification through to the sale of electricity in the global market, developing renewable energy production in UK, US, France and Scandinavia. We manage all phases from concept development to detailed design, construction, commissioning and operations.

With over 650MW operational wind farms, Fred. Olsen Renewables is looking to further consolidate its position as one of the leading IPPs in Europe. With this in mind it is looking to appoint a Head of Offshore Wind to lead on existing offshore projects and to position the company for new opportunities. This will be a challenging and demanding role, that requires previous senior level experience of the energy (generation) sector, in Europe and internationally and proven offshore wind experience.

The position will take direction and receive support from the Commercial Director while having direct link to the CEO of Fred. Olsen Green Power. You will work closely with the wider Senior Management Team to deliver on key Offshore Wind Projects, from initial site searching/acquisition through to the development and final consenting of projects. We are flexible with the location of this role, other offices include, London and Dublin.

Core responsibilities would include, but not limited to:

• Overall responsibility for the consenting of existing projects including the project programme and budget/cost responsibility
• Managing the project stakeholder activities including liaison with the planning authorities, grid, offtakers
• Managing third party consultants in the delivery of services to each part of the development phase
• Identify new offshore opportunities and position the company to win upcoming auctions such as the UK Round 4 opportunities

As the successful candidate you will have:

??Extensive experience from offshore wind, including an understanding of the offshore consenting process

??Experience and strong ability to run project organisations

??Commercial acumen and business development experience

??Drive and mindset to run projects in an effective and non-bureaucratic way - and continuously look for new and better ways of doing things
