What You'll Be Doing
The Field Operations Manager will be working full time, based within the Field Services department at Utilita Head Office in Southampton. This role will cover the South Coast and Midlands with regular travel.

You will manage the operation and field based Smart Meter Installation Engineers in the Southern region. You will liaise with external stakeholders such as contractors, housing associations and the HSE as well as internal stakeholders such as Field Managers. The role involves collating data and producing reports to drive performance and quality.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage all aspects relating to the delivery of the installation of smart metering
  • Maintain the company accreditations required to deliver the installations and continued management of the assets
  • Set and manage team and individual KPI's and motivate and monitor job progression
  • To evaluate and produce reports which highlights installers KPI's and drive individual and team performance
  • Ensure that allocated field engineers have adequate information, instruction, training and supervision
  • Ensure that controlled processes and procedures are adhered to and developed according to business needs
  • Carry out technical and non-technical audits



What We're Looking For
An experienced manager with a metering background who drives performance through effective management of data and people management skills

Essential Requirements:

  • Industry recognised qualifications within Gas Safety and Metering (CCN1, MET1 or equivalent)
  • Extensive managerial experience with field-based installers/ engineers
  • Experience in understanding and producing performance related reports extracting relevant informant with experience of providing a high-level overview
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Successful candidates will need to go through a DBS check

  • Management qualifications
  • IOSH Health and Safety
  • Medium pressure qualifications
  • National PTO NSAP (permit to operate national skill and power)
  • Membership of institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM) to Eng Tech status.
