An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join Hadland Care Group. Established over 27 years ago, Hadland Care Group is a group of two companies, including Tops Day Nurseries and Aspire Training Team. Operating throughout Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire and Devon supplying care at every stage, via the provision of nursery care for children and vocational training.
We are looking for someone to support our staff with their English skills such as listening, reading, writing and speaking.
The hours of work will be 1-2 hours a week as a pilot course with the potential to increase hours in the future as the needs of the business grows. There is the flexibility of being self-employed if this was preferred and you will be based at our Head Office in Southbourne with access to a comfortable classroom free of charge.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Working with very small classes or on a 1:1 basis
Support employees with their reading and writing in English at work (primarily within day nurseries)
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to a range of age groups and ethnicities
Prepare and set exercises and work to be competed at home each week
Mark and provide appropriate feedback on all oral and written work
About You:
To be successful you will hold a Teaching Certificate or equivalent qualification (TEFL Certification) with previous experience in working with and teaching foreign students.
You will be flexible with the ability to change your teaching style depending on your students. Having excellent oral and writing skills is imperative along with being adaptable, creative and sensitive to the cultural differences expected when working with students from foreign countries.
You will be self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic with the ability to continuously support students and continuously help develop their English skills.
