Fixed term until September/October 2019

Our client is looking for a groundworker to diagnose and deliver the repairs, installation and maintenance works covering sites in Leamington Spa, Banbury and Bicester. They’ll be expecting a high level of quality whilst also delivering a great customer service. You must be experienced in all types of fencing, drainage and paving work, while also demonstrating competence in bricklaying / slabbing / flagging / soakaway repairs / rodding. 

What’s the role all about?

You’ll be the main port of call for the repairs and maintenance of the domestic properties and communal schemes, responsible for the on-site drainage, fencing and hard-landscaping of customer homes and shared areas.

Our client will provide you with a van and all the equipment necessary, but you’ll be expected to ensure all ordering, collecting, organising and use of materials is accurately recorded as van stock, replenishing in a timely manner.

You will ensure your allocated jobs per day are completed, aiming to complete any repairs as a first time fix. If on any occasion this cannot be done, you’ll make the necessary arrangements for follow-on work to be completed by other trades in your team.

-Is able to identify where the repair required is due to fair wear and tear, not purposefully made and be flexible when business needs arise i.e. hours, team, location
-Has at least basic landscaping skills and is physically capable to undertake regular heavy lifting as part of this role
-Has a full, clean UK driving licence
-Can demonstrate site safety, follow safe working practices and be able to focus on customers’ needs and ensure an excellent service is provided.
