Production Operatives
CQR are delighted to be working with or client to recruit Production Operatives for ongoing temporary roles that could well become permanent in the future. This job is based at their Barnstaple location, part of the Power Electronics division, where they employ approximately 250 employees and specialise in the manufacture of wound components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring and electronic test equipment for the civil aircraft, space, and defence industries. We are looking for Production Operatives with previous experience of working within a production role, you will have a methodical and diligent approach to work, be computer literate and have excellent attention to detail; experience in an electronics firm would be a bonus. About The Job???
In this position the successful candidate will be responsible for performing multiple manufacturing roles. You will effectively perform designated manufacturing processes and all allocated supporting tasks with responsibility to meet production output targets and attain the high quality standards required with due regard to health and safety. In accordance with the appropriate product certification procedures and in accordance with the requirements of customer orders/drawings and NCE standards and systems with supervision to the best overall value to the Company. Reporting directly to the Production Manager/Team Leader, key duties and responsibilities will include:-
* Possess experience in electrical wiring and assembly in a quality assured environment preferably MoD or Aerospace.
* Be able to read electrical drawings, wiring schedules and schematics.
* Demonstrate ability to certify own work in line with company quality standards.
* Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.
* Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks.
* Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing of electrical wiring and cable assembly.
* Ensure manufacturing build, inspection and where relevant, test times are met.
* Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
* Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality.
* Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
* Maintain a safe working environment & maintain a good housekeeping policy.
* Work without supervision.
The right person???
* Manufacturing Production experience is essential; soldering experience a bonus.
* We will also consider candidates with experience of delicate manual assembly work in a factory environment.
* Experience of coil winding also considered.
* You will need to be a reliable and positive person who is keen to learn and progress their skills in an Electronics firm.
* You should be prepared to work as part of a team and be willing to make a positive contribution to continuous improvement.
* Good English skills essential along with attention to detail and can do attitude!

* 39 hours per week, 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 to 13:00 Friday.
* Contract would be Temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent after 12 weeks
* Pay is GBP7.83 per hour to GBP8.20 per hour
