Gateway Housing Association is a locally based housing association with over 3,000 homes in and around Tower Hamlets for people in housing need. We provide homes for social rent, shared ownership and leasehold accommodation, and we run our own in-house repairs service.
We are currently seeking a proactive Scheduler to diagnose, appoint and schedule repairs works for our In-House Contractor (IHC) workforce and subcontractors. In this busy and varied role, you will be responsible for efficiently organising all repair work and ensuring all our customers are highly satisfied.
On a daily basis, you will effectively plan and organise all diary administration ensuring that all the workforce and subcontractors are kept fully updated. You will also handle all calls and monitor all works orders, seek further information for jobs when required, enter all work orders in the computerised repairs system and liaise with Supervisors on a regular basis.
The successful candidate must have strong experience of working in property maintenance in a social housing environment. Relevant experience of planning and scheduling repairs works and knowledge of diagnosing and analysing repairs works is required. Good verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to use your own initiative and solve problems are essential. In addition to this, you must be approachable and able to work under pressure.
