Every year we need to raise £16.2 million pounds to provide our services, through fundraising and in our 455 shops across the UK.
We are looking for a commercially minded and experienced retail Area Manager to manage a portfolio of Sue Ryder shops in one if the highest and most profitable areas in the country with a number of large format furniture shops. Travelling between shops you will proactively manage, train and support colleagues to maximize area sales and generate as much income as possible to meet agreed targets
Other responsibilities include:
• Deliver the retail strategy by providing direction and leadership to shop staff
• Understand your market place and competitor trends and make recommendations on the retail strategy for your Area
• Drive new goods performance by effective management and ensuring focus of shop teams
• Identify underperforming shops and deliver a plan to address and manage effectively
• Recruit and select high calibre team players with the right skills and attributes to drive the area forward
It’s an exciting time to join us and in order to hit the ground running as our new Area Manager you will have strong multi-site retail management experience gained within a similar role. You’ll be financially astute and have plenty of commercial acumen in order to place a competitive retail proposition at the core of what we do at all times.
