Salary: £21,201 to £ 22,125 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours, working Monday- Sunday shift rota (banking 30 minutes per week to be used at an alternative time of the year)

The Community Safety team is looking for a team player who would like the opportunity to contribute to Community Safety in Harlow. The post demands an individual who is motivated, enjoys working outdoors and with the community and can work a shift pattern.

The post holder will have key responsibility for a number of Council buildings. In addition, you will assist in the prevention and enforcement of anti-social behaviour and crimes against the environment by visibly patrolling Harlow’s open green spaces and estates.

The post holder will be allocated a patrol dog and will be required to carry out dog handling and dog welfare duties. You will also be required to provide backup for Council staff working out of hours and respond to call outs dealing with situations arising from break-ins and acts of anti-social behaviour.

This post qualifies for weekend enhancement, shift allowance and standby duty payment.

A police national check will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
