Global Stock Control Manager

Our client is a global, award winning luggage and travel goods business, which prides itself on quality, innovation and product development.  To support their continued expansion, they’re looking for a Global Stock Control Manager to work closely with the Board of Directors to deliver improved projects, cost-saving initiatives and stock control processes across the global business.

The role will include:

• Responsibility for maximising sales with minimal stock holding
• Working with country directors to agree stock budgets
• Proactively manage stock with customers
• Creating a stock forecasting model for repeat item stock and speculative stock
• Monitoring shipping performance and produce performance reports
• Responsibility for reporting overall stock levels and issues to the Board
• Working closely with internal departments
• Management responsibility for the Stock Control team – This will include hiring two direct reports, one of whom will be based in the USA.

You will need to have:

• Solid experience in stock control and/or inventory management
• Strong knowledge of EDI systems
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills
• Experience with major retailers is highly desirable
• Experience working with various stakeholders, including company directors
• Grade A*-C, A-level Maths or Statistics or equivalent
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills essential
