The Role: Financial Controller- Power Generation
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary Circa GBP55k - GBP80k (dep exp) basic + competitive package
The Company
Our client is a successful investor in a wide range of environmental projects across waste management, power and food sectors. Due to their continued success and future growth they ae looking to recruit a Financial Controller who will be committed to supporting their goals and developing the organisation as it continues to grow.
The Role
* As our Financial Controller you will report to and support the Head of Finance in all financial matters.
* You will perform regular management accounting duties, including production of monthly management accounts, financial forecasting, cash management, payroll and preparation of quarterly VAT return.
* As our Financial Controller you will provide regular updates to financial forecasts and report significant changes in portfolio values
* The Finance Director will be an active member of the executive leadership team.
* You will manage external auditors and annual audit process.
* As Financial Controller you will produce all necessary year end accounts and supporting documents to a high standard.
* You will develop and establish strong relationships with senior managers across the business and support them to ensure they are properly equipped to manage the financial performance of the business.
The Ideal Candidate
* The ideal candidate will have a successful track record as a Financial Controller, it would be desirable to have experience in the renewable energy sector but not essential.
* Background working in fund management would be desirable.
* You will be a qualified accountant, ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
* Experience working in an entrepreneurial work environment is desired.
* Experience of Xero software would be advantageous.
* Excellent relationship building skills essential.
* Collaborative, positive work ethic essential.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent IT skills required.
